Dear Quidnessett Families,
Thank you for your incredible partnership this past week. I want to start by celebrating a huge win: our chronic absenteeism rate has dropped to 9%! Consistent attendance is the foundation of academic success, and we appreciate your commitment to getting your children here on time every day.
Keeping our students safe and prepared is always our top priority. With that in mind, we will be conducting bus safety drills over the next couple of weeks. During these drills, students will practice how to safely exit the bus in the event of an emergency.
In this week’s newsletter, we are also resharing our school-wide RICAS performance. We are thrilled with the steady growth our students are showing in ELA and are using our math data to better target instruction moving forward. Please take a moment to review your child’s individual test results by visiting the RICAS Family Portal linked below.
Finally, get ready for a fun-filled week ahead! Our PTO Scholastic Book Fair kicks off on Monday, and our Fall Festival is Friday night. If you haven't yet, please consider signing up to decorate a trunk!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly, Principal Johnston
